Fight Club trailer

Fight Club

Since I dont have cable, watching a movie for me is going to a theatre with friends and family but definitely not on TV. But one fateful night Studio 23 featured this movie with Brad Pitt, so I decided to watch. I found how they made the movie so interesting. It came from a book made by, Chuck Palahniuk. The man is called "the narrator" (Edward Norton). He is the main character in the story, he basically hates his job and has insomnia. He actually fins himself "waking up" in some different place.

He decides to go to a support group to find people to talk to, and meets Marla Singer (Helena Bonham-Carter) who gets under his skin. On a business flight he meets Tyle Durden (Brad Pitt), a charming soap salesman. When he comes to his apartment he finds it blown up and calls up people to find a place to stay and finds Tyler. Tyler challenges him to a fight near a bar, and suddenly a small crowd gathers around. The Narrator finds himself more alive in fighting than ever. He and Tyler hit it off and start "Fight Club", an underground sensation that has men fighting but is a closely guarded secret.

The Fight Club had 8 rules:
  1. You don't talk about fight club.
  2. You don't talk about fight club
  3. If someone says stop, goes limp, even if he's just faking it, the fight is over.
  4. Only two guys to a fight.
  5. One fight at a time.
  6. They fight without shirts or shoes.
  7. The fights go on as long as they have to.
  8. If this is your first night at fight club, you have to fight.
I found it so interesting I finished the movie and called my whole family to watch. In the end The Narrator gets conflicts with Tyler and Marla and discovers that Tyler is his seperate personality. I found it so mind twisting and wonderfully engaging, I was and am in love with the movie.

Here's a link for some reviews which liked and disliked the movie: rotten tomatoes

I liked the fact that they used different effects for the movie. The story is amazing, although the ending was sort of surprising. I loved the idea and how they carried out the Narrator's story. The actor's were good and funny at times. A bit of violence to it but enjoyable just the same.

It's on the top 5 movies for me.
